A RESOLUTION OF BOLIVAR BOROUGH, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, SUPPLORTING THE PENNSYLVANIA COMMISSION FOR THE UNITED STATES SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL (AMERICA 250 PA)

WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania legislature and the Governor created AMERICA 260 PA in 2018 to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States and Pennsylvania’s, integral role in that event and the role of its people on the nation’s past, present, and future; and

WHEREAS, AMERICA 250 PA hopes to engage ALL Pennsylvanians and ALL 67 counties through their many signature and officially recognized programs, projects and events over the next several years by inspiring future leaders and celebrating all Pennsylvanians contribution to the nation over the last 250 years; and

WHEREAS, by adoption of AMERICA 250 PA’S four pillars of EPIC, we hope to educate, preserve, innovate, and celebrate.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AND IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that Bolivar Borough of, Westmoreland County, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania hereby endorses AMERICA 250 PA and their mission to educate, preserve, innovate and celebrate EVERY Pennsylvanian in EVERY county; and

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Westmoreland County Commissioners and AMERICA 250 PA Commission.

ADOPTED by Bolivar Borough, of the county of Westmoreland, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, this __7th_____ day of __March________, 2024
