Resolution

1970-1

Talks with Fairfield

Twp on Closing of

Bolivar Elementary

School

The following Resolution was presented to the Bolivar Borough Council at the June meeting which was held June 1, 1970 for their decision in this matter was voted on all members present voted in favor of the resolution.

Resolved, that we, Fairfield Township Board of Supervisors, having carefully considered the need and requirement of residents of Fairfield Township near and adjacent to the Borough of Bolivar, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and

having further talked with said residents and others contemplating residents of this portion of Fairfield township, believe that the contemplating closing of the Bolivar Elementary School of the Ligonier Valley School District, would adversely affect the residents of Fairfield Township now serviced by the elementary School.

We, therefore request that the Ligonier Valley School district reconsider their action in closing the aforementioned Bolivar Elementary School.
